Ward 11 is accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The Royal Bournemouth Hospital has a 24 hour Emergency Department and a large day surgery unit, the Sandbourne Suite. A purpose built ophthalmic unit is located on site as well as a state-of-the-art cardiology unit, and the award winning Derwent Unit, an orthopaedic service providing hip and knee replacements.

Bleeding disorder services
Haemophilia and bleeding disorder care is provided at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital, within the haematology unit. It has an open-access ward for adult bleeding disorder patients and 24 hour access for treatment, as and when required.
Adults are seen in the bleeding disorder clinic which is held in main outpatients every Monday.
The haematology unit has a 15 bedded inpatient ward, Ward 11, and a day care ward, Ward 10. Adults with haemophilia or other bleeding disorders can be reviewed and treated on the unit. Children with haemophilia or other bleeding disorders are seen in the paediatric wards at Poole Hospital.
Patients with haemophilia or a bleeding disorder that require treatment have open access to the haematology unit and would be managed on the day ward during working hours and on Ward 11 outside of normal working hours.

Where to find us
Ward 10 is the day unit used if adult patients require treatment or assessment.
